Shin Sakura Taisen manga will end this month

In issue # 29 of Shueisha Publishing Weekly Young Jump magazine it was announced that the manga adaptation written and illustrated by Koyori Noguchi of Sega's video game Shin Sakura Taisen will come to an end in the next issue of the magazine, the June 25th.


Noguchi began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine in September 2019. The publisher published the second compilation volume on April 17.

On the other hand, Sega launched the video game in Japan for the PlayStation 4 console on December 12, and in the West on April 28. A twelve-episode anime adaptation premiered on April 3.

Synopsis of Shin Sakura Taisen

The story unfolds in a steampunk version of Imperial Tokyo from the 1940s. Just recently, a cataclysm destroyed part of Tokyo, especially defense facilities. Now being the home of the Flores Division, a squad of rookies that also serves as entertainment for the locals with their talents on stage; the theater is in financial trouble and about to close.

It will be Seijuro Kamiyama, the captain, who will be in charge of taking this squad to its former glory. With the help of the five beautiful members, they will protect the inhabitants of Tokyo and return the theater to its former state.
