In this year's 10th issue of Kadokawa publisher's Dengeki Maoh magazine, it was revealed that author Sakae Saito (Toji no Miko) will launch a new manga titled Shuumatsu Touring in the magazine's next issue on September 26.
Taking advantage of the Japanese pun, the play's catchphrase recites, "Enjoy touring the apocalypse." On the other hand, Saito recently made a manga for the Toji no Miko franchise, which he published in the Kadokawa publisher's Shonen Ace magazine between October 2017 and March 2019. The publisher compiled the work in a total of three volumes.
In addition, this manga and the franchise in general inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Gokumi, directed by Koudai Kakimoto and scripts written by Takashi Aoshima, released in January 2018.
Synopsis of Toji no Miko
Since ancient times there have been evil creatures known as the Aratama, who threaten the human world, as well as a group of Mikos who have been exorcising these creatures using swords. Those who wear uniforms and use swords are called "Toji" in police organizations. They are officially approved to wield swords to protect their people and the government has established five training schools for women. They spend their student life living normally and use special sword skills to protect people. However, in the spring, the best Touji from each of the five schools must participate in a regular tournament.
