The QuesQ company announced the release of two 1/7 scale figures based on the characters Akane Shinjou and Rikka Takarada from the SSSS.Gridman franchise for the months of September and November 2021, respectively.
The figure of Akane Shinjou shows the character wearing her uniform and in a flirty position lifting her skirt at both opposite ends with her hands. A warm smile has been imprinted on her face and special attention has been paid to respecting the original design.
On the other hand, the figure of Rikka Takarada is noted with a greater amount of detail, presenting the character in a position with both arms extended and on one leg. The scene seems to represent that the wind is hitting her head-on, which is demonstrated by the effects added to the design of her clothes and her hair, which flutter in unison.
The Akane Shinjou figure is 230mm tall and the Rikka Takarada figure is 220mm tall, both will be priced individually at 16,280 yen (approximately $ 156) and will be available for pre-order through different distributors starting next year. October 23 in Japan.
About SSSS.Gridman
It is an original anime based on a tokusatsu series (name that refers to any Japanese live-action series that makes absurd use of special effects) broadcast between 1993 and 1994. The series was produced by a collaboration between Tsuburaya Productions and Trigger studios. .
The series premiered in October 2018 and featured twelve episodes produced under the direction of Akira Amemiya and scripts written by Keiichi Hasegawa. Subsequently, a new production was announced that serves as a spiritual sequel entitled SSSS.Dynazenon that will have the same production team as the first, again including the participation of Trigger studios.
