In the most recent issue of Monthly Comic Alive magazine it was reported that the literary franchise based on the light novels written by Shuuichi Nimaru and illustrated by Ui Shigure , Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy ( Osamake: Romcom the Childhood Friend Won't Lose ), has exceeded one million cumulative copies in circulation.
Nimaru and Shigure began publishing novels light through the publishing label Dengeki Bunko of Kadokawa in June 2019. The publishing house published the sixth volume on 22 February, followed by the seventh on 9 April in Japan. In addition to a manga adaptation by Ryou Itou, the play is inspiring an anime adaptation produced by Doga Kobo Studios , directed by Takashi Naoya and scripts written by Yoriko Tomita , currently on air and confirmed with twelve episodes.
