The animation studios Kyoto Animation announced that the fan appreciation event will return after four years with the title " The 5th Kyoto Animation Thanks Event: KyoAni Music Festival -Inspiration for the future- ". This will be the company's first music festival, and it will take place at the Rohm Theater in Kyoto on November 20 and 21, 2021.
Little is known about this upcoming event, however it is clear that multiple artists who have performed musical themes in the company's animation productions will be gathering on stage. Additionally, the press release also included the opening of an official site and an official Twitter account for the event. Guest artists and details will be revealed shortly.
On the other hand, the studios held their most recent fan appreciation event in 2017. The company had planned a similar event for 2019, but it was canceled after the attack that occurred at the company's first building on July 18, 2019. The study eventually ended up changing this planned event to a free public memorial held to remember the victims who perished during the bombing.
