As part of the celebrations surrounding the Berserk franchise this year, the Berserk: Ougon Jidai-hen ( Berserk: The Golden Age Arc ) anime film trilogy will have its first broadcast on television this year in Japan. The films will be re-released under the title " Memorial Edition ", although details of the re-released version have not been confirmed at this time. The press release included a promotional video and a visual.

The “ Memorial Edition ” version of the film trilogy is part of a larger celebration of Berserk , which includes an exhibition by Kentarou Miura who is currently touring Japan, as well as the release of the first chapter of the series written by Studio Gaga (the Miura's team of assistants) under the watchful eye of Miura's close friend, Kouji Mori , following the manga creator's passing last year.

Berserk Synopsis: Ougon Jidai-hen

In the Kingdom of Midland, a mercenary named Guts wanders the land, preferring a life of conflict to a life of peace. Although the odds are never in his favor, he is an unstoppable force that defeats any opponent, wielding a massive sword larger than himself. One day, Griffith, the mysterious leader of the Band of the Hawk mercenary group, witnesses the warrior's battle prowess and invites the wandering swordsman to join his squad. Refusing the offer, Guts challenges Griffith to a duel and, to the former's surprise, is defeated and forced to join. Now, Guts must fight alongside Griffith and his crew to help Midland defeat Chuder's Empire. However, Griffith seems to harbor ulterior motives, wishing for something much greater than resolving the war...
