Bocchi the Rock! It is already the best musical series according to MyAnimeList

The popular platform MyAnimeList allows its registered users to rate the series they watch each season, and it has been online for so long that it has become a reference among fans to know if any series they are interested in is worth watching. While it is true that there are some people who abuse the ratings system and make the platform lose its seriousness, in general this only happens with the most watched or expected series of each season , and the platform's own system ends up correcting it eventually.

Thus we come to what brings us together today, and it is not the first time that we have talked about the anime adaptation of Bocchi the Rock! , a series that is giving a lot to talk about due to its theme, animation style and protagonist. The “Bocchi Rockera” achieved a new success within the platform, since it already became the highest rated music genre series in the entire history of the MyAnimeList service .

That's right, with 8.78 points, Bocchi the Rock! surpasses other popular works in the genre, such as Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso , Nana , Kono Oto Tomare! Part 2 , Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song , and Given , as well as major movies like Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Movie and K-On! Movie . Pretty impressive, isn't it? Of course, the fact that the series is still on the air means that the score could still fluctuate considerably – will it go up after the finale exceeds expectations, or down after it disappoints?

Synopsis of Bocchi the Rock!

Longing to make friends and perform live with a band, the reclusive and socially anxious Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou spends her time playing the guitar. One fateful day, Bocchi meets outgoing drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the band Kessoku when her guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, runs away before her first concert. Soon after, Bocchi meets her latest bandmate, the genius bassist Ryou Yamada.

Although their first performance together isn't great, the girls are strengthened by their shared love of music, and are soon reunited with Kita. Finding happiness in acting, Bocchi and her bandmates set their hearts on improving as musicians while making the most of their fleeting high school days.
