A few days ago we reported that Tomohito Oda ' s Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu ( Komi Can't Communicate ) manga had finally taken some steps forward on the relationship between Shouko Komi and Tadano Hitohito . This advance was the long-awaited first kiss between the two, which excited fans who had waited more than a hundred chapters, that is, more than two years, for it to finally arrive.
Komi and Tadano became a couple in Chapter 306, published in June 2021. However, the relationship between the two has not taken any further steps since then, mainly because the author continued to develop secondary stories and the school development of both characters, now in the third year of high school and prior to their eventual graduation . Fans had to progress through two years of episodes without a significant breakthrough in the main romantic relationship.
In the end, all this changed with the unexpected first kiss between the two with which Chapter 411 of the work closed. While some doubted that they had really kissed, Chapter 412 finally cleared the doubts and confirmed this. Komi and Tadano finally shared their "official first kiss," noting that they've accidentally kissed before, but that kiss didn't count.
Komi is ecstatic with happiness, literally, so much so that she shows a side of herself that Tadano had never seen before. While Komi has been quite happy in the last few years of the manga, she has never been drawn with a huge smile like the one she showed in this most recent chapter.
Tadano is inspired by this and tells her that he loves her, but this sets off a chain reaction in Komi. Thrilled by the experience of her first kiss with the boy she loves, Komi craves for more, and asks Tadano to have her second kiss already. Tadano refuses at first as she doesn't think she can handle the emotion, but Komi brushes this off and gets on top of him telling him what she wants done will be done.
This hidden side of Komi, who was too excited, surprised Tadano and obviously the viewers, who had never seen "the mudita" in this way. This was quite similar to what happened in Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!, as the protagonist also had a similar reaction.
