Today the anime adaptation
of “ Sousou no
Frieren ( Frieren: Beyond Journey's End )” has
ended, and although the production of a second season was not immediately
announced, the final episode listed a special message that writes: « The
journey towards Ende continues ».
It should be
remembered that Ende is the region located in the northernmost part of the
continent, where the Demon King's Castle is located and where Aureole is also
located, the place where souls rest and where Frieren plans to go to
meet Himmel again.
It is certainly not
the first time that an anime ends with “the promise of a sequel,” but
it is unlikely that the anime adaptation of “Sousou no Frieren” will not
continue considering the immense popularity it had during its six
months of broadcast. and the effect it had on the original manga (sales of the
books increased considerably, currently reaching twenty million copies in
circulation).
And of course, there
was no shortage of comments about the broadcast of this final episode:
- " It was a good final
episode ."
- « Well, what will happen
with the sequel? Will they announce it soon? ».
- « How many arcs of the
manga are left to adapt to animation? ».
- " Please make a
second season soon ."
- « The journey continues!
Please continue producing more anime about Sousou no Frieren! ».
- « Well guys, now we have
to wait a hundred years to produce a second season or sooner if they
change studios, what do you prefer? ».
- « There is still a lot to
adapt to have a movie as a sequel. If we are going to enter the Arc of the
Golden Lands and so on, there are too many arcs to fit into two hours of
animation .
- " If there is any
sequel or movie announcement coming, maybe they will do it next week ."
- " It was a very good
anime, probably my favorite series right now ."
- « What will happen to
director Keiichiro Saito after making Bocchi the Rock! and Sousou are not
Frieren so successful? ».
- " The anime is
definitely better than the manga, especially because it expands on the
battle scenes ."
- " It was a good
anime, I hope we see each other again in the future ."
- « I'm waiting for the
director's next project. We have already seen his work in CloverWorks and
Madhouse, what will be his next studio? ».
