A press
release reported that the manga written and illustrated by Yura
Urushibara , “ Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of
Paradise ”, will have an anime adaptation that will
premiere in 2025 in Japan . The statement also included a promotional
video and the project's voice cast, but not production details.
For his part, Yura Urushibara began publishing the manga through Akita Publishing 's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in June 2020, where it is still in serialization. The manga previously inspired a stage play adaptation that was presented in Tokyo and Osaka in February of this year, with a sequel scheduled for January 2025.

inherits the blood of an Oni. Shiki's life is turned upside down when he
is suddenly attacked by a "Momotaro", leading him to discover
his true Oni heritage. Following this revelation, he enrolls in Rasetsu
Academy, a training school for Oni.
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito Mudano , an instructor at Rasetsu
Academy. Naito is a rationalist who despises inefficiency and waste.
- Koutarou Nishiyama as Jin
Kougasaki ,
a classmate of Shiki at Rasetsu Academy who is always seen wearing a black
mask. Jin has a contentious relationship with Shiki, marked by frequent
clashes and disagreements.
Synopsis

Individuals
with Momotarou and Oni blood running through their veins maintain a
long-standing rivalry. The Oni are careless, reckless and disorderly, while the
Momotarou protect the human world from the uncontrollable Oni. Shiki Ichinose
is a reckless and irresponsible teenager, aware of his rebellion and even proud
of his expulsion from school. Despite Shiki's rebellious attitude, his adoptive
father, Tsuyoshi, cares deeply for him. Tsuyoshi's selfless love is soon
demonstrated in an explosive incident when a Momotarou bursts in looking for
Shiki. Being a Momotarou himself, Tsuyoshi has been hiding Shiki for years and
keeping his Oni origins a secret even from him.
When he
gives his life to save Shiki and confesses everything with his last breath,
Shiki's Oni blood awakens for the first time, transforming him into a monster
overflowing with rage and thirst for revenge. Shiki's momentary outburst
attracts the attention of Naito Mudano, an Oni professor at the Rakshasa
Academy, an institution for young Oni who need to understand and hone their
powers. Before Shiki can avenge his father, he must learn to control his
stubborn and impulsive nature and, above all, fight his own demonic blood.
