Following the airing of today’s episode, it was
announced that the anime adaptation of Eku Takeshima ’s
written and illustrated manga , “ Whisper Me a Love
Song ( Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau ),” has
been put on hold indefinitely . Due to production issues, Episode 9
ended up being delayed by two weeks, causing this anime to miss an airing slot
for Episodes 11 and 12.
Remember that the Summer-2024 period
(July-September) will begin next week and all productions have already reserved
a slot on television (including the one currently occupied by “Whisper Me a
Love Song”). Because of this, the series does not have space to
broadcast its last two episodes, so it will have to wait for another one to
become available to be integrated there (which usually occurs until the end of
each period).
It should be noted that this comes as no surprise to
anyone, given that the production of “Whisper Me a Love Song” was
revealed to have been plagued by problematic working conditions, disorganized
schedules, poor communication, and questionable behavior on the part
of animation studios Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts.
Eku Takeshima began
publishing the manga in Ichijinsha ’s Monthly
Comic Yuri Hime magazine in February 2019. She previously worked on
character designs for the anime “ Null Peta ,” and has
published other works including “ Kimi ni Suki tte Iwasetai (I'd
Like To Make You Say Loving)”; “ Hare no Kuni no Appare-dan (Appare!
Girls in Okayama)”; and “ Saiko Hunter Ryuu ,” to name a few.
Sinopsis of Whisper Me a Love Song
Yori Asanagi is a mature girl in many
ways, but she remains pure when it comes to romance. This feeling is proven
when a first-year student, Himari Kino, suddenly confesses her love to her
after her band's performance at the opening ceremony. Confused and shocked,
Yori seeks advice from her friends, but they tease her by telling her that she
is experiencing love. Yori soon makes up her mind and tries to reciprocate
Himari's feelings, but in a twist of events, she realizes that what Himari
loved was not her, but her music!
Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau revolves
around the relationship between Yori and Himari. As Yori continues to pursue
his love for Himari, he vows to make Himari fall in love with him. However,
will this passionate love blossom or will it remain unrequited?
