On the official site for the anime adaptation of the
light novels “ KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this
Wonderful World! ” a new promotional video for the OVA of
the third season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the
premiere is scheduled for next March 14 in theaters in Japan, followed by a
physical release on Blu-ray / DVD on April 25. The latter would be the
date on which it would arrive on streaming platforms, unless otherwise
announced.
The release also listed that this OVA will
feature two episodes, which are described as follows :
- Redstream Explosion!: While Kazuma and his companions are having dinner
at the guild, Luna, a receptionist, brings them a request. They need
Megumin’s explosion spell to deal with a typhoon approaching Axel City.
Yunyun and Wiz also decide to participate, and the adventurers’ morale
soars! On the day of the decisive battle, Kazuma sees the adventurers
preparing for battle, and is shocked to find that everyone…
- Nisemono Chuui!: A winter day. While Kazuma was enjoying a grilled
skewer at a food stall in Axel City, he was approached by an adventurer.
The man said that he was looking for an adventurer named “Kazuma Sato.” In
exchange for dinner, Kazuma told them the legend of “Kazuma Sato,” which
moved the man and his party of three female adventurers to tears…
For its part, Natsume Akatsuki began
publishing the light novels with illustrations by Kurone Mishima in
October 2013, through the publisher Kadokawa , and finished
it in May 2020 with a total of seventeen volumes. In addition to the manga
adaptation, the anime adaptation has to date a total of three seasons totaling
31 episodes and was produced by Studio Deen and Studio
Drive .
Synopsis of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful
World!
After suffering a ridiculous and pathetic death on his
way back from buying a game, high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds
himself sitting before a beautiful but unpleasant goddess named Aqua. She
provides the NEET with two choices: continue on to heaven, or be reincarnated
into every gamer’s dream: a real fantasy world! Choosing to start a new life,
Kazuma is quickly tasked with defeating a Demon King who is terrorizing
villages. But before he leaves, he can choose an item of any kind to aid him in
his quest, and the future hero selects Aqua. But Kazuma has made a grave
mistake: Aqua is completely useless! Unfortunately, their troubles don’t end
here – it turns out that living in such a world is very different from how it
plays out in a game. Instead of setting out on an exciting adventure, the duo
must first work to pay their living expenses. In fact, their misfortunes have
only just begun!
