Unnamed Memory returns with a second season

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels “ Unnamed Memory ”, a new promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for January 7, 2025 in Japan , and lists a snippet of the musical themes, which include:

  • TRUE will perform the opening theme song “ Unsung Ballad ,” while Arika will perform the ending theme song “ Inclusion .”

Unfortunately, the adaptation has been widely criticized for failing to properly adapt the content or “compressing it too much,” something that has characterized recent productions from ENGI studios such as “ Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru .” and “ Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs .”

Kuji Furumiya began publishing the story in 2008, and it was later published on the Shousetsuka ni Narou service in September 2012. It later began publication in paperback through Kadokawa 's Dengeki no Shinbungei imprint in January 2019, and ended in April 2021 with six volumes. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Naoki Etsumi has been published in Kadokawa 's Dengeki Daioh magazine since September 2020.

Unnamed Memory Synopsis

“My wish as a champion is for you to come down from the tower and be my wife.” Climbing a deadly tower, Oscar seeks the power of its owner, the Witch of the Blue Moon. He hopes that her incredible magic can break a curse that will kill any woman he takes as a wife. However, when the prince sees how beautiful Tinasha is, he comes up with a better idea: since she is surely strong enough to survive his curse, she should marry him! Tinasha is not thrilled with the idea, but agrees to live with Oscar in the royal castle for a year while she investigates the spell cast on the prince. However, the witch’s pretty face hides dark secrets from a lifetime, secrets that are beginning to resurface…
