Synopsis of Mieruko-chan
Miko Yotsuya’s eyes water as she stares at a single point
on her phone, ignoring another ghastly, horrifying monster staring at her face,
uttering the haunting words, “Can you see me?” Up until now, Miko was enjoying
her unassuming high school days, where late-night horror shows only served as a
form of entertainment. But since one fateful day, she’s the only person aware
of the invisible monsters that walk freely among humans.
Bravely, Miko makes a bold decision: she will never,
under any conditions, acknowledge the presence of the horrible specters.
However, even though she pretends they don't exist, she can see how they bother
the people around her, especially her best friend, the energetic and charming
Hana Yurikawa. To protect them from the monsters' annoyances, Miko does her
best to carry on with her school life and avoid all the troublesome crises,
even when they scare her to tears.
