On the
official site for the anime adaptation of Kou Nikaido 's manga
" With You and the Rain ( Ame to Kimi to )",
the main promotional video for the project has been revealed. The video shows
the fateful meeting between Fuji and Kimi, and lists the premiere as
being scheduled for the Summer-2025 period (July-September) in Japan .
For his
part, Kou Nikaido began publishing the manga through Kodansha 's Young
Magazine magazine in August 2020. The work continues in serialization
and the anime adaptation will air through TV Asahi and 23 other affiliated
channels in the " NUMAnimation " television block.
Synopsis
of With You and the Rain
One
rainy day, a woman encounters a strange animal waiting by the roadside. The
creature, in an attempt to catch her attention and win her sympathy, offers her
an umbrella as if to demonstrate how useful and special it can be. Intrigued by
its cunning and unusual behavior, the woman decides to take the peculiar
creature into her home. Thus begins their coexistence, with the woman gradually
discovering the peculiarities of her new companion, who, although he looks like
a dog, possesses traits and behaviors that make him unique. As the days pass,
their bond strengthens, giving rise to a story full of endearing moments,
surprises, and a touch of mystery about the true nature of this curious animal.
