As
we mentioned earlier here , the anime adaptation of Yura
Urushibara 's manga " Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise "
is slated to premiere in Summer 2025 (July-September) . Now,
we have more exciting details to share. Distributor REMOW has revealed a new
trailer, a new key visual, and a new cast member!
In this trailer, it's confirmed that the opening
theme song will be "OVERNIGHT" by THE ORAL CIGARETTES .
Additionally, Ryohei Kimura will join the project to play Kyoya
Oiranzaka , the commander of the Oni Agency's Kyoto branch support
unit. This anime certainly promises many surprises, and there's a lot to look
forward to!
Regarding the details of the franchise, they are as follows:
- Yura
Urushibara 's manga " Tougen Anki: Dark Demon
of Paradise " has been running since June 2020 in Weekly Shonen
Champion magazine , with a drama adaptation in 2023 and an
anime scheduled for Summer 2025.
- The
main cast consists of Kazuki Ura as Shiki Ichinose , Hiroshi
Kamiya as Naito Mudano , Koutarou Nishiyama as Jin
Kougasaki , Manaka Iwami as Homare Byobugaura , Shogo
Sakata as Ikari Yaoroshi , Natsuki Hanae as Juji Yusurube , Kaito
Miura as Rokuro Kiriyama , Aimi as Kuina Sazanami .
- The
production team includes Ato Nonaka (direction at Studio
Hibari ), Hiroyuki Hashimoto (assistant
director), Yukie Sugawara (script writing and
supervision), Ryoko Amisaki (character design and
animation direction), Kohta Yamamoto (soundtrack
composition).
- The
story centers on Shiki Ichinose, a rebellious teenager who, upon
discovering his true Oni nature, joins the Rakshasa Academy to learn to
control his powers and confront his thirst for revenge.
