The latest issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine revealed that Kenjiro Hata's "Tonikaku Kawaii (Fly Me to the Moon)" manga will go on indefinite hiatus starting with the magazine's next issue, scheduled for May 7. The publication did not specify a return date for the series, leaving fans in suspense.

Hata launched the manga in Shogakukan 's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in
February 2018. The story's popularity led to an anime adaptation titled
" TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ", which premiered
in October 2020 and consisted of 12 episodes. Later, in August 2021, the OVA
" Tonikaku Kawaii SNS " was released in Japan on
Blu-ray format.
In November
2022, a new special episode of the anime premiered in Japan. Additionally, the
second season of the anime premiered in April 2023, followed by the
four-episode miniseries " TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You High
School Days " that premiered in July 2023. The news of the hiatus
has raised concerns among fans, who will now have to wait for future news to
find out when they can continue following the tender story of Nasa and Tsukasa.
Synopsis
of Tonikaku Kawaii
Having
grown up ridiculed for his strange name, Nasa Yuzaki strives to be remembered
for something more meaningful. Fortunately, he seems to be on the right path,
placing first in the national mock exams and about to enter the high school of
his choice. However, everything changes in a single night, when he notices a
girl across the street while walking home. Captivated by her overwhelming
tenderness, Nasa falls in love at first sight. But, in his reverie, he fails to
notice the danger speeding down the road, ending up on the brink of death.
Thanks to the intervention of the mysterious girl, Nasa manages to survive.
Fearing
that she might disappear from his life forever, he musters up the courage to
confess his love for her. She accepts his feelings, but under one condition: to
marry him, to which Nasa agrees without hesitation before fainting from his
injuries. However, upon awakening, she is nowhere to be seen. After recovering
from his injuries, Nasa abandons his former ambitions and dedicates his life to
finding the young woman who stole his heart. However, several years pass
without success. One night, when an unexpected visitor knocks on his door, Nasa
finds himself face to face with the woman who would change his life forever:
his wife.
