This Thursday,
May 16 , the official website for the Ace of Diamond Act II anime
revealed that the sports series will have a second season under
the title Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season , scheduled to
premiere in 2026. Along with the announcement, a first promotional
image was also published that already begins to warm up the
ground for the return to the diamond.
The
original cast returns to action
The new
season will air on TV Tokyo and other Japanese networks. It
has also been confirmed that the main cast will return to
continue the story where it left off. This continued cast is excellent news for
fans who have followed the characters' development since the beginning.
A
franchise with a history in anime
The
original baseball manga created by Yūji Terajima began
serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2006.
The first volume ended in January 2015 , bringing the total
to 47 volumes . The second volume began in August 2015 ,
titled Act II .
The anime
debuted in 2013 with a 75-episode first
season , followed by a 51-episode second season in April 2015 , both
available on Crunchyroll . Ace of Diamond Act II began
airing on April 2, 2019 , also with simultaneous availability
on that platform.
A legacy that transcends manga
Ace of
Diamond Act II has
not only been recognized in the publishing world, winning the Kodansha
Shōnen Manga Award for Best Manga in its 34th edition (2010), but has
also inspired stage plays and a strong fan base. Since March
2017 , Kodansha Comics has published the manga
digitally in English, expanding its global reach.
Set to
return in 2026 , Ace of Diamond Act II promises
