Everything you need to know about Makoto Tsukauchi

Makoto is a character who brings a new dimension to the story. Her role as an academic researcher within the hero universe promises to provide more context on the workings and ethics of the licensing system. Furthermore, she's the sister of Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi , familiar from the main My Hero Academia series , further fueling fan interest.

A production worthy of the franchise's legacy

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime premiered on April 7 in Japan and is streaming globally on Crunchyroll , excluding Asia. This installment acts as a prequel to the main story and shows the heroes' beginnings outside of the official system.

The main cast includes:

  • Shuichirō Umeda as Kōichi Haimawari / The Crawler
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Kazuho Haneyama/Pop Step
  • Yasuhiro Mamiya as Iwao Oguro/Knuckleduster

Additionally, several characters from the main series also appear, such as All Might, Eraser Head, Present Mic, Midnight , and Ingenium , played by their original actors.

A technical team with plenty of experience

The series is directed by Kenichi Suzuki ( Cells at Work! , JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ), with animation by the new studio BONES FILM . The script is supervised by Yōsuke Kuroda , and the music is by Yuki Hayashi , alongside Shōgo Yamashiro and Yūki Furuhashi . The opening theme song is " Kekka Orai " by Kocchi no Kento , and the ending theme song is " Speed " by the band yutori .

A manga that left its mark

The original Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals manga , written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court , ran from 2016 to 2022, collecting a total of 15 volumes . Although more low-key than the main work, this spin-off won over readers with its more mature and streetwise approach to heroism.

With the arrival of Makoto Tsukauchi, fans can expect new revelations and a deeper dive into the dilemmas surrounding the world of unofficial heroes. Are you ready to meet her?
