Production
company Kadokawa has shared the first promotional video
for the anime See You Tomorrow at the Food Court ( Food
Court de, Mata Ashita. ), based on the manga by Shinichirō
Nariie . The trailer, published this Friday, features for the first
time the opening theme performed by Oisicle Melonpan ,
titled “Mikansei ni Matataite” , which can be translated as
“Shining Incompletely.”
Premiere
scheduled for July and special event in Tokyo
The series
will officially debut in July and will have a total run
of six episodes . Additionally, fans in Japan will be able to
enjoy an advance screening of the first episode on June
13 at the Animate Ikebukuro flagship store in Tokyo.
The film is
directed by Kazuomi Koga ( Rent-A-Girlfriend , Kubo
Won't Let Me Be Invisible ), with Jukki Hanada ( Sound!
Euphonium , Love Live! ) overseeing the
scripts. Kyuta Sakai ( Steins;Gate ) is
serving as character design and animation director. The music is composed
by Kana Utatane ( Dead Mount Death Play ),
and Jin Aketagawa ( Kaguya-sama: Love is War , Re:ZERO )
is leading the sound direction.
An
unlikely friendship in the most everyday corner
The story
revolves around Wada , a reserved and enigmatic model student,
and Yamamoto , a defiant fashionista. Although their worlds
seem opposite, they find a common place to be themselves: the food
court where they meet daily. This chance encounter gives rise to a
series of intimate conversations and unique moments that explore teenage
friendship from a fresh and realistic perspective.

the original manga
Shinichirō
Nariie launched
the manga in March 2020 through the Comic Newtype site
. After a hiatus in January 2021, the work resumed publication in September
2022. To date, Kadokawa has published 23 chapters , the last
one being released on December 13 . The second compiled book
volume, titled Food Court de, Mata Ashita. Season 2 , was
released on March 31 .
