The curtain
is about to close on one of the most beautiful and emotional franchises of the
last decade. Just today, Friday, April 24, coinciding with the
national premiere in Japan of the first half of the project, Kyoto
Animation surprised fans by releasing a new official trailer and
an unpublished promotional image for Sound! Euphonium The Final Movie
Part 2 (Hibike! Euphonium). The announcement confirmed that this
long-awaited conclusion will hit Japanese theaters on September 11,
definitively closing the journey of Kitauji's school band.
The
voices that will give the last concert
An anime
film with this emotional charge needs perfect performances to bring
tears to audiences. The studio confirmed that the entire original cast is back
to say goodbye to their iconic musical characters. Here are the main voice

The
Master Team Behind the Kitauji Symphony
To ensure
that this ending is perfect, the technical lineup remains intact. Tatsuya
Ishihara returns as chief director, accompanied by director Taichi
Ogawa. Veteran screenwriter Jukki Hanada was tasked with writing
new original scenes that we didn't see in the 2024 season, ensuring that this
film version is much more than just a TV recap. In addition, to maintain the
emotional thread that has connected the entire franchise since 2015,
singer TRUE will return to perform the closing theme song,
titled "ToCoda."
What
melody will close the curtain on this franchise?
This
duality of films promises to be the definitive version of the events that
occurred during the third school year. The new trailer dazzled by showing all-new
animated sequences from the "Sunrise Festival," the iconic marching
event that serves as a litmus test for the Kitauji High School
marching band.
But the
real dramatic burden will fall on Kumiko's shoulders. The new scenes anticipate
her difficult transition to assume the presidency of the club, dealing with the
pressure of keeping the ensemble together while competing nationally. After
more than ten years of growing up with these characters, the second part of the
film promises to give us the definitive resolution of their conflicts,
friendships and musical passion on the big screen.
