If you missed
the theatrical release of two of today's most acclaimed franchises, the orange
platform has just solved your weekend. This Thursday, April 23, Crunchyroll released
a double announcement that lit up social networks: the hit anime film based
on the work of Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man - The Movie:
Reze Arc, will land in its catalog this coming April 30. At the same time,
the service confirmed that two special episodes of the
romantic comedy The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Toubun no Hanayome) are
now available to its subscribers.
The
additions leading the Ani-May event
Although
the statement did not offer updates on changes or additions to the voice cast,
it did detail the formats in which we will be able to enjoy these long-awaited
projects, which are part of the monthly Ani-May campaign that
will culminate with the tenth Anime Awards on May 23. Here's
the breakdown of the releases:
- Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze
Arc: Available
from April 30 with original audio subtitles and English dubbing options.
- The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽: Available now on the platform.
- The Quintessential Quintuplets
Specials 2:

Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Russian.
The
successful run on the billboards in Japan
The arrival
of these titles on streaming marks the end of a long wait for
the international audience. The Reze Arc film blew up the
Japanese box office in September 2025, selling more than 807,000 tickets in its
opening weekend and grossing approximately $8.46 million, before expanding to
more than 80 countries. Meanwhile, the quintuplet franchise had an equally
solid run: the first special ∽ shone in theaters in July 2023 before moving on to television,
while Specials 2 managed to sneak into the top 5 at the box
office during its three-week limited screening in September 2024.
On the one
hand, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc adapts one of the most brutal and
acclaimed narratives of the original manga. The story presents us with Denji crossing
paths with Reze, a mysterious, sweet and explosive girl who will turn the life
of the young Devil Hunter upside down and drag him into one of the most
bloodthirsty and emotional hunts in the entire franchise.
On the
other side of the spectrum, The Quintessential Quintuplets' two
specials act as the perfect balm for those who missed romantic comedy. The
first special is responsible for faithfully adapting chapters of the manga that
had been omitted during regular television seasons, while Specials 2 injects
new content focused on the daily interactions and the unbreakable bond
between Fuutarou and the five Nakano sisters, giving fans the
warm closure they have been asking for after the final film.
