Turkey! Original bowling anime reveals July premiere

This Sunday,  Pony Canyon and Bakken Record surprised everyone with the first promotional video for their new original anime Turkey! -Time to Strike- , which focuses on the competitive world of school bowling . The video confirms that the series will premiere on July 9 at 01:29 (UTC+2) on NTV . It will then air on BS NTV on July 10 and on TV Shinshu on July 12 . Its global premiere is also expected sometime in July.

The preview features a snippet of the opening theme song "Hyakunichisou" , performed by the five protagonists under the name of the Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club in Nagano Prefecture . The song was composed and lyrics were written by Yūho Kitazawa of the group QIS .

An emotional story that goes beyond sport

Far from being just a fun story, Turkey! promises an intimate, mysterious, and nostalgic tale centered on Mai Otonashi , a talented player nicknamed "the genius who never wins." Along with her teammates Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi , and Nanase , the team will experience ups and downs as they strive for victory during the summer lockdown.

The term "Turkey" in bowling refers to getting three consecutive strikes , a symbol of perseverance that will mark this series set in the city of Chikuma, in Nagano Prefecture .
