Shogakukan
announced through the official Coro Coro Comics account that the iconic
fighting franchise, Street Fighter, will have a new manga titled Street Fighter
Luke Rising. The series will premiere on June 29 in the aforementioned Japanese
magazine.
A New
Protagonist for a New Era
This new
manga will focus on Luke, one of the newest and most important characters in
Street Fighter 6, accompanied by the legendary Ryu. The story promises to
explore Luke's experiences and challenges as he makes his way in the
competitive world of martial arts.
Who is
behind the project?
The artist
will be Yoshio Mokomokomaru Masao, known for his previous work on the manga
Gaming Ojō-sama, which ran on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app from July 2020 to
December 2022.
The Legacy
of Street Fighter Continues to Grow
The Street
Fighter 6 video game series debuted in June 2023 and is available on
PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Luke,
introduced in this installment, has quickly established himself as one of the
