The
company WWWave Corporation has presented this Friday a promotional
teaser for the upcoming anime Sawaranai by Kotesashi-kun,
an adaptation of the manga by Takuya Shinjō. This first preview
offers us a glimpse into the tone and style of this story, which combines school
comedy with sports themes and touches of romance. In
addition, it has been confirmed that the anime will premiere in October 2025
in Japan.
Exclusive
preview in September
As part of
the promotion prior to the official launch, an advance screening will
be held on September 28 at the United Cinemas Aqua
City Odaiba cinemas in Tokyo. Although it has not been confirmed if
there will be the presence of the cast or the production team, it is expected
that it will be a special opportunity for local fans.

direction is in charge of Hisashi Saito (I'm Living with an
Otaku NEET Kunoichi!?, Fantasista Doll), while Hagane
Shirakigo supervises the scripts. Ryūsuke Tsukamoto (The
Apothecary Diaries, Protocol: Rain) designs the characters,
and Chihiro Endō is in charge of the soundtrack. The general
production is by the Quad studio, under the supervision
of Deregula.
A
history of massages and sports
The
protagonist, Kōyō Kotesashi, is a young man determined to become a
sports doctor. With that goal, he began working as a school masseur at Seiha
University High School, famous for its high-level sports teams. There, she
interacts with quirky female athletes, each with her own
personality and physical needs.
A manga
on the rise
The manga
was released in May 2021 through Kodansha's Magazine
Pocket app. To date, 12 compilation volumes have
already been published, the most recent on July 9.
With an
original approach and a fresh proposal within the school genre, Kotesashi-kun's
Sawaranai aims to become one of the most talked-about series of next
fall.
