This year's
15th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine
has announced that Yoshiru Konogi's manga "Eroko-san
on the Attack" (Shingeki no Eroko-san: Hen'na Onee-san wa
Danshikōsei to Nakayoku Naritai) will conclude in just three chapters. This
marks the closure of a series that has maintained its provocative humor since
its inception in 2019.
What is
Eroko-san about?
The Comikey platform,
in charge of publishing the English digital version of the manga, describes the
story as follows:
"Give
this thirsty girl something to drink!"
Shindou Eroko is a 27-year-old
NEET who has gained popularity online thanks to her sassy personality and
voluptuous figure. When wearing glasses, it adopts a professional mode. But if
you take them off... the spicy Eroko-san appears. Out of money and
in a hurry, she takes a job as an assistant only to end up meeting Hoshi-kun,
a high school student who fits perfectly with her ideal type. And just at that
moment... His glasses have just fallen out.
A work
with history
Konogi
launched the series on Young Animal in 2019, and its first
compilation volume was published in 2020. The most recent, volume
8, was released on February 28. The author is also known
for Henjo, another romantic comedy that started at the
now-defunct Young Animal Island magazine in 2012 and then
moved to Young Animal in 2015. Its 20th volume was released
on May 29.
With only
three chapters remaining, the finale of Eroko-san on the Attack is
scheduled to coincide with the 18th issue of Young Animal, which
will be published in Japan on August 23 and will be available
in Spain from August 24 (UTC+2).
