Renowned
Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts has revealed a new
collaborative music video featuring scenes from the Call of the Night anime,
centered around the closing theme "Nemure" from its
second season. The video is now available through the group's official YouTube
channel.
As with the
opening theme "Mirage," this new music video merges
footage from the anime's first and second seasons. The night sequences, along
with the emotions of the characters, align with the introspective and
melancholic aesthetics of the song, resulting in an immersive visual work.
A
constant musical collaboration
Creepy
Nuts has been
around since the inception of the anime in 2022, being responsible for every
opening and closing theme. Among his contributions are "Daten",
"Yofukashi no Uta" and the inserted track "Lost Time".
On
September 10, 2025,
the CD single that will include both "Mirage" and "Nemure"
will be released in Japan. The cover art has been illustrated by the author of
the original manga, Kotoyama, who also designed the cover of
"Daten".
Production
of the second season
The second
season of Call of the Night continues under the direction
of Tomoyuki Itamura at the LIDEN FILMS studio.
The script is by Michiko Yokote, the character designs by Haruka
Sagawa, and the music by Yoshiaki Dewa. Izumi Takizawa and Nao
Miyoshi also join as co-directors.
A look
at the interesting history
The story
follows Ko, a young man who one night, unable to sleep, sets out to
explore the city under the moon. There he meets Nazuna, a
mysterious girl who invites him to spend the night in an abandoned building.
What seems
like a simple nighttime adventure takes an unexpected turn when Ko discovers
that Nazuna is a vampire interested in more than just her
company. As their bond strengthens, new characters from Ko's past enter the
picture, testing his relationship with the undead world.
