Kodansha's digital service K MANGA announced
the addition of four English-language titles to its platform. These
include Shūichi Shigeno's Subaru and Subaru and Ryo
Sumiyoshi's Si Land. In addition to these, the horror
manga The Silent Forest by Masaaki Nakayama and
the one-shot ME AND BOB DYLAN (AND MY FATHER) by Shūzō
Oshimi.
The single
titles are also available in digital and print versions as part of the Weekly
Young Magazine, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary. In
addition, the works published in the magazine participate in votes to decide
which series are permanently integrated into the K MANGA library.
Subaru
and Subaru: the legacy of Initial D and MF Ghost
Set a year
after Kanata Rivington's participation in the popular MFG street
circuit, the story follows two new racers: Subaru Sato (from
Gunma) and Subaru Kudo (from Kanagawa). Together they will
seek to write a new legend in the world of motorsport, uniting the universes
of Initial D and MF Ghost. The series debuted
in Weekly Young Magazine in July, and the first compilation
volume will arrive in Japan on November 6.
Si Land:
Epic Fantasy Between Cats and Dogs
In a world
where only dogs and cats exist, the former have erected a kingdom on the
continent, while the latter dispersed across the sea, dedicating themselves to
plunder. This eternal conflict is the background to the story of Jean,
a dog raised by cats with his mother Rosa and his adoptive
father Azul. Their biggest dream is to find a place where they can
live together in peace. Ryo Sumiyoshi's work debuted on August
25 on the Comic Days platform.

Radio creator Masaaki Nakayama presents a new horror
story set in the Edo period. The author, considered a benchmark of
psychological horror manga, once again demonstrates his ability to immerse the
reader in disturbing atmospheres.
ME AND
BOB DYLAN (AND MY FATHER): intimacy
Known for
works such as The Flowers of Evil and Blood on the
Tracks, Shūzō Oshimi offers in this one-shot a personal
look at his family life and connection to his father through the music of Bob
Dylan. At the same time, the mangaka launched his new youth series Mabataki
no Oto (The Sound of Blinking) in Shogakukan's Big
Comic Superior magazine in December.
