The
long-awaited series Suikoden The Anime, a television adaptation
based on Konami's iconic JRPG saga, launched its official social media account
today along with an evocative teaser art that previews the atmosphere of the
anime, scheduled for broadcast in Japan during 2026.
The image
features Jowy and his comrades gathered around a campfire in a
military camp, under a starry night sky, capturing a moment of calm in the
midst of the conflict that engulfs the plot.
Details
about the production and plot based on Suikoden II
The series
is directed by Yuzo Sato at the KONAMI animation
studio, with the production of Konami Digital Entertainment,
responsible for the popular video game franchise.
The anime
adapts the story of Suikoden II, centered on the protagonist
and his friend Jowy, members of the Unicorn Youth Brigade, who participate in a
prolonged border conflict between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of
Jowston.
Although
months earlier a peace treaty was signed that put an end to hostilities, under
that apparent calm the embers of a war that threatens to break out again
continue to burn, marking the beginning of the narrative that we will
experience in the series.
