The
upcoming sequel series Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers has
released an updated teaser trailer that hints at the addition of new heroes to
the cast. Although the characters still remain in shadow, only the initials of
their voice actors have been revealed so far. The series will debut in Japan in
January 2026.

This new
installment continues the story of the original anime Samurai Troopers (1988-1989)
and is directed by Yoichi Fujita at the Sunrise studio.
The series is composed by Shogo Muto, while Yuhei Murota is
in charge of character design and Hideo Okamoto is in charge
of armor design. The soundtrack will be created by Shuji Katayama (Team-MAX).
The
story continues: the return of ancestral evil
According
to Crunchyroll's description, the plot of the original saga
revolves around an ancient evil spirit who tried to conquer the human world and
was banished to the shadow realm. After a thousand years of oblivion, when
black clouds obscure the lights of Shinjuku and ominous laughter fills the air,
humanity must face the terror of the return of Arago, the Emperor of Doom.
