On Monday,
artist Tsumuji Yoshimura confirmed through his social networks
that the light novel series Akuyaku Reijō no Tsuihōgo! Kyōkai
Kaikaku Gohan from Yũyũ Sister-gurashi will have an anime
adaptation. The original work was written by Tail Yuzuhara, and
Yoshimura himself is in charge of the manga version.
Along with
the announcement, the illustrator shared a commemorative image on his X account
(formerly Twitter), generating great enthusiasm among followers of the isekai and slice-of-life genre.
From
event planner to rural nun
The story
follows Elizabeth, a villain who has been exiled from the
nobility. In her previous life she was a successful event organizer, but
after reincarnating in a different world, she decides to retire from social
drama and live in peace as a nun in a country church. With the
insights from his past life, he improves daily life in his new environment,
especially through food.
The
tranquility is slightly altered with the arrival of a guard commander,
giving way to new dynamics between the characters in a warm atmosphere, but
full of lessons about forgiveness, purpose and personal reconstruction.
A
consolidated success on paper
The novel
began its online publication on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform
in September 2018. Soon after, Kadokawa began its
physical edition with illustrations by Yũ Shiroya and
character designs by Yoshimura. The first volume was released in March
2019 and the second in September of the same year.
As for the
manga, Yoshimura published it through Flos Comic from December
2018 until its end in July 2024. Kadokawa released
the eleventh and final compilation volume in August
2024.
While
specific details about the production team or release date have yet to be
revealed, the announcement has captured the attention of isekai fans
with strong female leads looking for a second chance.
