The
official website of the upcoming television anime This Monster Wants
to Eat Me, based on the suspenseful yuri manga by Sai Naekawa,
has released its main trailer and a new visual. In
addition, it was confirmed that the series will premiere in Japan on
October 2, 2025.
Musical
themes and cast
The trailer
reveals the opening theme titled Nie ("Sacrifice"),
performed by singer Yoshino, recognized for her work in anime such
as Yakuza Fiancé, Loner Life in Another World,
and The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses. Yoshino explained
that the song seeks to convey the love and obsession between
two lonely souls who are desperately looking for each other, with a composition
by Yurry Canon that reflects the beauty and fragility of the
world of the work.
For her
part, Reina Ueda, voice of the protagonist Hinako Yatose,
interprets the closing theme Lily as a character song.

has been published in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Maoh magazine

drab life takes a turn when a monster tries to devour her and she is saved by a
beautiful mermaid, whose protection will last until Hinako is "ready"
to become her prey. Far from fleeing, a relationship as dangerous as it
is intriguing begins between the two.
