The
official website of the Blue Orchestra anime confirmed that
its second season will premiere in Japan on October 5,
2025 via NHK Educational TV. In addition, it has been revealed that
the new installment will have 21 episodes, thus consolidating its
return as one of the most anticipated premieres of the year.
Along with
the announcement, a main visual was presented that brings
together the protagonists of the story, anticipating the intensity and emotion
that this continuation will bring.

was accompanied by comments from the key figures behind the work. Makoto
Akui, author of the original manga, expressed his excitement, "The
second season finally begins with new characters and new sounds! I think that
the music of Aono and his friends is born from overcoming both joys and pains.

"A TV anime with an orchestra... we made a risky dream come true! Blue
Orchestra is a unique work that dared to show what no one had ever attempted.

Makoto
Akui's manga
has been published since 2017 on the Manga One app and on
Shogakukan's Ura Sunday website, accumulating 12
compilation volumes to date. Its animated adaptation, produced
by Nippon Animation, debuted in 2023 with 24 episodes aired
between April and October of that year.
The story
follows Hajime Aono, a high school student who was considered a
violin prodigy as a child, racking up awards and accolades in almost every
competition. However, during high school he abandoned the instrument.
Everything
changes when he meets Ritsuko Akine, who motivates him to take up
music again and enter a high school with a prestigious orchestra club. With the
support of Akine and his new companions, Aono rediscovers his passion for the
violin and the strength of shared music.
