Chainsaw
Man – The Movie: Reze Arc debuted to spectacular numbers in Japan. The film, based on Reze's
arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga, sold more than 272,000
tickets on its first day, grossing 420 million yen (approximately
$2.8 million).
The film
was released in 421 theaters across Japan and featured special
screenings in MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema formats.
Midnight screenings were also held in 12 cinemas in cities such as Tokyo,
Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Hokkaido, reinforcing the public's expectation.
Future
projections
According
to distributor TOHO, the film could exceed 5 billion
yen (about $34 million) over its box office run. The announcement came
a day after a special event at Tokyo's TOHO CINEMAS Hibiya cinema,
featuring the voice cast.

premiere
Sony
Pictures Entertainment acquired the worldwide distribution rights and brought forward its
release in several territories. In the United States, it will arrive on October
24, five days earlier than planned. In the United Kingdom it will be
released on October 29, while in more than 80 countries it
will be screened from September 24.
