One Punch Man Hits Bottom: Season 3 Episode 3 Is a Disaster

0

The third season of One Punch Man it is going through its most critical moment. After an irregular start and a slight improvement with the second chapter, the episode 3 it has sparked strong criticism for its poor animation and chaotic direction. The fast pace, lack of visual coherence, and lack of impact in the action sequences have left a negative impression on anime fans.

A messy episode without visual force

The third chapter chains combats and dialogues at such a fast pace that it barely allows you to appreciate the plot. The defeat of Garou it happens in a matter of seconds, and although some flashes of well-done action can be seen, the technical inconsistency dominate the whole. The final battle, with recycled movements and irregular animation, it has become a symbol of the wear and tear that production suffers. Even the scenes in the apartment Saitama they are inert, with conversations that barely contribute to narrative development.

A production that loses its essence

The direction seems to have lost the sense of balance between the parody and epic that characterized the series. The humorous tone and visual exaggeration, distinctive elements of the manga ONE and the style of Yusuke Murata, they are diluted by a compressed montage and a staging without energy. The result is an episode that, far from intensifying the current arc, leaves the sensation of a hasty product lacking identity.

Is there room to reverse the situation?

With only three episodes aired, recovery seems difficult. Although they could present themselves specific high-level battles later, the season already faces negative comparisons with other recent productions. The lack of time and resources in responsible study is perceived as the root of a structural problem that compromises the continuity of the project. Fans' hope now centers on the series' direction managing to at least close the season with dignity.
