Kadokawa
revealed the first promotional video for the anime Akuyaku Reijou wa
Ringoku no Otaishi ni Dekiai Sareru (The Villainess Is Adored by
the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom), adaptation of the light novel written
by Punichan. The trailer confirms that the series will premiere in january
2026.
The main
cast is made up of Mai Fuchigami like Tiararose, Yūichiro
Umehara like Aquasteed, Takuya Sato like Hartknights
and Yumiri Hanamori like Akari.
The story
follows Tiararose, a noblewoman who, after remembering that she is the villain
of an otome video game, tries to avoid her destiny of ruin. However, her life
takes an unexpected turn when the prince of the neighboring kingdom, Aquasteed,
shows a deep interest in her.
The
original work began publication on the portal Shōsetsuka ni Narō in
2016. Later, the seal B's-Log Bunko de Kadokawa published the
printed editions with illustrations of Akeno Naruse. To date, it
has 14 volumes and surpasses the 5.6 million copies in
circulation.
Additionally, the series inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Hoshina, serialized in the magazine B's-LOG COMIC, whose volume 16 was released on September 1. The franchise also includes a Spinoff two volumes and an additional adaptation in three-volume manga format.
