The use of glitches and programming errors reaches animated fantasy. The official account of author Nikita Kitagawa announced on Wednesday that his light novel Saijaku na Boku wa "Kabenuke Bug" by Nariagaru (I, The Weakest Player, Will Rise to the Top Using a "Wall-Clipping Glitch" – By Clipping Through Walls, I Earned the First-Time Clear Reward Infinite Times!) has a television anime adaptation in production. The news was originally revealed in the wraparound band of volume 11 of the manga adaptation.

The story follows Henri Cleats, an adventurer with a single ability: Evasion. Due to his lack of offensive power, he is expelled from his group, leaving him unable to afford treatment for his sick sister. However, he discovers that his ability has a "bug": it allows him to go through walls and reach the end of dungeons without a fight, allowing him to claim the "First Clear Bonus" infinite times. With this knowledge, Henri begins his ascent to break the balance of the world.

Trajectory of the work

The web novel began in 2021 and was adapted into print format by Kodansha with illustrations by Meto Sasame, ending with two volumes in May 2024. On the other hand, the manga adaptation illustrated by Yui Hata is still ongoing in Magazine Pocket, having released its eleventh volume on December 9.
