The
subgenre of reincarnated villains adds a new title to the television schedule.
An official website has been launched to announce that the manga The
Final-Boss Prince is Somehow Obsessed with the Chubby Villainess: Reincarnated
Me (Odebu Akujo ni Tensei Shitara, Nazeka Last Boss О̄jisama ni Shūchaku Sareteimasu) will have a television
anime adaptation.
The
statement was accompanied by the first promotional video and a visual image.
In
addition, the manga's artist, Kaname Hanamiya, drew a commemorative
illustration to celebrate the news of The Final-Boss Prince anime.

direction of the project has been entrusted to Naoyuki Kuzuya under
the production of Studio Lings. The series is composed by Mitsutaka
Hirota, while Infinite is listed as general producer.

About
the work
The story
follows a protagonist who, after dying of illness, is reincarnated as Celine,
the selfish and obese villainous duchess from a popular novel. Destined to be
killed by the hero prince, she decides to reform herself and fight against her
destiny. However, she ends up trapped in an unexpected love obsession by a
prince with yandere tendencies.
The manga,
written by Kotoko and illustrated by Kaname Hanamiya,
debuted in April 2023. The series has surpassed 70 million digital
downloads, confirming its popularity before its jump into animation.
