The hero who endured ten years alone against demonic hordes will have to wait a little longer to reach the small screen. The staff of the television anime based on Ezogingitune's light novels with illustrations by DeeCHAI Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand (Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Ittekara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita.), announced that the premiere of the series is postponed to July, with the aim of "presenting a work even more enjoyable for everyone". The production team apologized for the inconvenience caused and assured that they will do their best to make the series loved for a long time. The original release date was April.

The production is in charge of the Gekko studio, with Hiroyuki Kanbe in the direction, known for Viper's Creed. The scripts are in charge of Mitsutaka Hirota, with experience in Edens Zero. The character design is signed by Majiro, known for his work on Macross Delta.




What is the story about?


With no other way out, Luck makes the decision to stay alone to contain the advance of endless demonic hordes and allow his companions to escape with their lives. What no one expected was that Luck would not only hold out, but hold the line for a full ten years, emerging victorious individually. Now, back in a world that knows him as a legend, veteran and recent arrival, he'll have to figure out how to deal with peacetime after a decade of constant war.


About the work


The novel Ezogingitune website began in June 2018 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro site. The adaptation as a light novel debuted in February 2019 and reached seven volumes, with the last published in July 2022. The manga adaptation, with art by Chaco Abeno and composition by Kitsune Tennoji, premiered in August 2019 on Square Enix's Manga UP! service and now has 18 compiled volumes. The series accumulates more than 4.25 million copies in circulation.
