Being the team's support has never sounded so convenient and fun. The footage came loaded with valuable information, revealing the leading voice talent and setting its premiere on television for the summer season, pointing directly to the month of July.

Details about The World's Strongest Rearguard - Labyrinth Country's Novice Seeker

The production of this title falls in the corridors of the Maho Film studio. The director's chair is occupied by Yuji Yanase, a creative with previous experience in titles such as By the Grace of the Gods. The scripts for the series are written by veteran Deko Akao (The Detective Is Already DeadRagna Crimson), while the character design was entrusted to artist Eriko Yanagimoto.

What is the story about?

Arihito Atobe's life as a corporate slave comes to an abrupt end after a fatal bus accident, opening the door to a classic isekai reincarnation. Waking up in a dangerous fantasy world, our protagonist assumes a never-before-seen role known as the "rearguard", a kind of support capable of providing critical attacks, impenetrable defense and constant recovery to his party, which is curiously made up only of girls.

To top it off, his passive position in the rear comes with a huge hidden benefit: simply being behind the group dramatically increases the affection his teammates have for him! Completely freed from his old work chains, Arihito is ready to enjoy this peculiar new lifestyle to the fullest.

About the original work

Author Towa began publishing this story on the renowned literary portal Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2017. A few months later, the Kadokawa publishing house opted for the physical format by launching the first printed volume with illustrations by Huuka Kazabana. The success was almost immediate, prompting a manga adaptation drawn by artist Rikizo that is currently published on the Comic Walker site.
