About the work

The plot follows Satou Takahiro, an ordinary young man who is suddenly sucked into the universe of his favorite space video game. When he awakens, he discovers that he has incarnated as Hiro, a tough space mercenary equipped with the most advanced and lethal starship in the cosmos. Accompanied by a loyal female crew, Hiro decides to take advantage of his new reality to hunt space pirates, rescue people in distress, and enjoy a free life full of exciting adventures traveling among the stars.

The original work, written by author Ryuto, began serialization as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro portal in February 2019. Its immense popularity prompted the Kadokawa publishing house to publish the printed volumes with illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima starting in July of the same year, scheduling the release of its seventeenth volume for May 9. The franchise also has a successful manga adaptation illustrated by Shinichi Matsui, which has eleven compilation volumes in circulation.
