The
deadliest mission for an elite assassin does not involve poisons or weapons,
but the complex task of finding a wife. It has been officially announced that
the anime adaptation of the manga Marriage Toxin will begin
airing on Japanese television on April 7, joining the new block of
nightly programming "Ka-Anival!!" of the Kansai TV and Fuji TV
networks.
The update
was accompanied by the release of the project's second promotional trailer.
This video preview allows you to hear for the first time the musical themes
that will accompany the series: the opening song entitled "Kill or
Kiss", performed by Yurina Hirate, and the ending theme song
"Shake Na Baby", by singer-songwriter AKASAKI.

About
the work
The story
centers on Hikaru Gero, the young heir to the deadly Gero Family, a
lineage of Poison Masters who have honed their deadly arts for centuries in the
underworld. Hikaru has lived in isolation from romance and interpersonal
relationships, but his perspective changes radically when his clan leader
decides that his younger sister must marry and forcibly conceive an heir. To
protect her from this cruel fate, Hikaru takes on the mission of marrying and
producing the heir himself.
His luck
takes a turn when he meets Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant and cunning
marriage hustler. Together they form an unusual alliance: the elite assassin
hires the con artist as his dating advisor, embarking on the most relentless
mission of their lives to find the perfect bride by taking on other clans in
the underworld. The original work, written by Jomyaku and
illustrated by Mizuki Yoda, began serialization on Shueisha's
Shonen Jump+ app in April 2022, scheduling the release of
its seventeenth compilation volume for April 3.
