Infiltrating human society to devour delicious
souls doesn't usually include ending up in love with your target, but that's
exactly the defining complication of Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy.
The anime officially confirmed its second season, celebrated with a
special illustration created by character designer Akari Minagawa to
mark the occasion.
The first season premiered on April 4,
featuring Kanan, a demon who infiltrates human society posing as a
high school student with the goal of consuming delicious souls. She sets her
sights on a particular guy, but before she can make her move, she ends up
unexpectedly becoming his girlfriend. For someone who had never experienced
love, that relationship brings a whole new and unfamiliar set of feelings.
For now there are no additional details about
release date, changes in the cast or production team for this second
installment. What is clear is that the creative foundation of the first season,
with Akari Minagawa in character design, is still actively
involved in the project, judging by the commemorative illustration that
accompanied the announcement.
About Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy
Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy is a nonco manga
published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine since June 2022,
with thirteen volumes compiled as of April 2026. Seven Seas
Entertainment licensed the series for English-language release in
omnibus format, with the first volume scheduled for July. The anime's first
season was produced at Studio KAI under the direction of Yasushi
Muroya, with Aoi Koga as the voice of Kanan and Seiichiro
Yamashita as his romantic interest, Yoji Kyogi. The series
combines supernatural elements with the everyday awkwardness of a first
relationship, building its romantic comedy around that clash between the
demonic and the fully human.
