The path of
ninjas and spirits is reaching its ultimate climax. The animated adaptation of
the Black Torch manga presented its final trailer to warm up
the engines for episodes 11 and 12, anticipating the confrontation that will
decide the fate of countless souls and close this action story with a flourish.
The new
teaser offers a glimpse into the fierce final battle where Jiro and Rago will
have to give their all to emerge victorious. The series, which debuted on July
4, will broadcast its long-awaited outcome on September 19. This
production is in charge of the 100Studio studio under the
direction of Kei Umabiki, with Go Suzuki in the
character design and Gigaemon Ichikawa in the supervision and
writing of the scripts, while the renowned composer Yutaka Yamada brings
the soundtrack to life.
The project
also stands out for its musical and visual section, incorporating the opening
theme "Freeze Me Up" performed by the rock band SiM,
while the group I Don't Like Mondays. contributes the closing
theme entitled "Groooovy". The technical team is complemented
by Yumi Nakamura, Masahiko Suzuki and Mariko
Kinoshita in the secondary character designs, Shunya Kikuchi in
the concept designs, Sachi Takahashi and Shoko
Imaizumi in the art direction, along with Hirotaka Naito in
the 3D animation direction.

Black Torch
Created
by Tsuyoshi Takaki, the original Black Torch manga
began publication in December 2016 and concluded in August 2018 compiling a
total of five volumes. The plot follows Jiro Azuma, a young descendant of a
lineage of ninjas who possesses the unique ability to talk to animals. Although
he usually seems like a tough boy, his life changes radically after saving a
mysterious stray cat named Rago, who turns out to be a spirit of great power.
By merging with him to survive, Jiro gains supernatural abilities that drag him
into a secret war against dangerous spirit creatures.
