If you
thought that the girls of the virtual agency only lived locked behind a monitor
doing marathon broadcasts, the franchise has just given the biggest surprise of
the year. During a special joint broadcast between Kadokawa and COVER
Corporation, the first television anime focused on the agency was officially
announced, which will be titled hololive: Let's Head Out! (Odekake
hololive).
The
production revealed that this ambitious animated project will be part of the
agency's tenth anniversary celebrations, bringing together a massive cast made
up of 29 of its most popular talents. Among the confirmed participants are
iconic figures of the community such as Tokino Sora, Roboco-san, Shirakami
Fubuki, Sakura Miko, Hoshimachi Suisei, Usada Pekora, Houshou Marine, Tokoyami
Towa and La+ Darknesss, who will take their personalities on an adventure
outside the usual stages.
As for the
premise of the series, the story will abandon the broadcast format to show the
girls enjoying their days off while traveling together throughout Japan. The
story will be structured as a gastronomic and tourist tour through the
different seasons of the year, showing the members laughing, tasting local
dishes and discovering unknown corners of the country in a relaxed and fun
atmosphere.
Behind the
animation will be the renowned Studio KAI studio, a production house
that already has extensive experience working on short films and music videos
for the same company. The direction of the series will be in charge of Shunsuke
Machitani with Ori Yasukawa as assistant director, while Kodai Minami
will assume the composition of the series and Masatoshi Tsuji will be in
charge of adapting the design of the characters for the screens.
