Voice actress Shizuka Itou announced her divorce through her official blog on Ameblo. Itou wrote: “I will speak on a personal matter, officially I am divorced. It may not be the best time to announce it due to the moment the world is going through, but I thought I should inform everyone who offered me their blessings at my wedding. ”
She emphasized that this "is not about a coronavirus divorce", referring to a trend that has become popular on Japanese social networks in which several people share anecdotes about family, friends or neighbors who are being victims of marital tension Due to the excessive coexistence that couples have to go through due to the confinement by COVID-19 in the Japanese country.
The actress mentioned that the preparations for her divorce have already been in the works for a long time and that her lifestyle, as well as her work flow, had not been affected by this process. Finally, the actress asked for the support of her followers in this new stage.
Shizuka Itou debuted as a voice actress in 2003 and is recognized for having played such roles as Akeno Himejima in Highschool DxD, Meiko Shiraki in Prison School, Haruka Morishima in Amagami SS, and Rindou Kobayashi in Shokugeki no Soma.
