They claim that LiSA owes its success to Kimetsu no Yaiba

Recently, on Twitter in Japan, a trend starring the singer and songwriter LiSA was observed, started by a user who claimed that the artist became famous only for her participation in the anime adaptation of the Koyoharu Gotouge manga, Kimetsu no Yaiba.

The "LiSAkko" (LiSA fans) quickly highlighted the artist's extensive musical career, dating back to 2011 with the opening track of Fate / Zero. Other fans even highlighted her first appearance in the series Angel Beats !, where she played one of the vocalists for the band Girls Dead Monster, a fictional group from the series.

The original tweet was then sparked by an avalanche of responses (usually insults), and has probably already been erased by its author. One answer in particular highlighted: "When I read the nonsense of 'LiSA owes its fame to Kimetsu no Yaiba', I was quite driven to comment 'RADWIMPS owes its fame to the Makoto Shinkai film then.'"
However, in an event that broke with the original trend scheme, LiSA's single “ADAMAS” recently surpassed 250,000 downloads, earning a platinum certification. This song was used as the opening theme song for the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime.

About LiSA

She is a singer, writer and lyricist born in Gifu Prefecture in 1987. The singer works under the Sacra Music label of Sony Music Artists.

After aspiring to become a singer very early in her life, she began her musical career as the lead singer for the indie band Chucky. After the band's separation in 2005, LiSA moved to Tokyo to start her solo career, making her debut in 2010 singing on the Angel Beats series! as one of the two vocalists of the band "Girls Dead Monster".

The LiSA songs have been used for multiple animation series, highlighting Fate / Zero, Sword Art Online and Kimetsu no Yaiba. Their singles regularly dominate the top Oricon downloads, with "Crossing Field" receiving a platinum certification and "Oath Sign" receiving a gold certification.
