The Kodansha publisher revealed the list with the winning titles for its 44th Kodansha Manga Awards.

Best Shonen Manga: Tokyo Revengers


Author: Ken Wakui

Synopsis: Takemichi is a 26-year-old unemployed who finds out that the girl he was dating in high school has died. Soon after, he is involved in an accident and goes back in time to his high school years. He swears that he will change the future and manage to save the girl who was his girlfriend, to achieve this his goal is to reach the top of the most violent region of criminal gangs.

Best Shoujo Manga: Boku to Kimi no Taisetsu na Hanashi

Last year, authors Negi Haruba and Yoshitoki Oima, authors of the Gotoubun no Hanayome and To Your Eternity series, respectively, were the winners of the Best Shonen Manga category. Author Rie Agura won the award for Best Shoujo Manga for the title Perfect World. The Best Overall Manga category was won by author Fumi Yoshinaga and her series Hepburn: Kinō Nani Tabeta ?.
