The Fukushima Prefecture Police Department reported the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Ibaraki for violation of the Copyright Law, having sold imitation smartphone cases and protectors, including illustrations of characters from the Kimetsu no Yaiba series.

Officers confiscated more than 500 smartphone cases from their home, with most featuring illustrations by Shinobu Kochou and Giyu Tomioka from the same series. According to the report, the defendant is suspected of selling these products at a price of 2,000 yen in Fukushima and Ibaraki through an online sales website, and investigators confirmed this information after reviewing the site. Given such evidence, the defendant admitted the charges against him, and confirmed that he knew that what he was doing was illegal.
