In the August issue of Monthly Shonen Ace magazine from Kadokawa, it was announced that the manga written and illustrated by Ryuu Naitou, Kemono Friends 2, will end with its next chapter.
The manga had already entered its final arc since last April. For his part, Naitou began publishing the manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine in January 2019. The publisher published the second compilation volume on January 24, and the work is a manga adaptation of the second season of anime Kemono Friends.
The original multimedia franchise was created by Mine Yoshizaki, and the project started with a smartphone game released in March 2015. Subsequently, it inspired a twelve episode anime adaptation produced by Yaoyorozu Studios, under the direction and scripts written by Tatsuki, released in January 2017.
The twelve-episode second season was produced by Tomason Studios under the direction of Ryuichi Kimura and scripts written by Takuya Masumoto, and premiered in January 2019.
Kemono Friends Synopsis
Japari Park is a huge zoo inhabited by multiple endangered species, already extinct, and even other legendary ones. However, due to a mysterious substance known as "Sandstar", many of the animals are capable of becoming anthropomorphic girls known as "Friends".
